We are each of us angels with only one wing. And we can only fly embracing each other.

Counseling & Somatic Therapy

Buddha+flowers+2.jpeg

Counseling & Somatic Therapy are similar to Spiritual Life Coaching in that they involve becoming conscious of unconscious patterns in order to move forward to achieve one’s desires. They also include unwinding the deeper effects of developmental and relational trauma held in both body and mind. This is more of a bottom-up process, meaning we listen to the body’s intelligence and innate wisdom regarding healing.

Through this somatic journey, a compassionate bridge is built, self-trust is established, self-worth is embodied, and boundaries are grounded in a healthy relationship with self.

Calling upon Body/Mind healing modalities such as Somatic Experiencing, Lay Counseling, Life Coaching, Inner Child Work (somatic parts), NeuroAffective Touch, CranioSacral Therapy, and Guided Meditation Journeys.

MODALITIES:

Spiritual Life Coaching is a powerful way to be guided and held steady in achieving your desires. It is a process of becoming awake to the beliefs that no longer serve you and compassionate in cultivating your innate wisdom and accessing your true power. This work offers clarity of mind and peace in your heart.

Inner Child Work is a beautiful way to heal and bring compassion to the roots of adult issues by building skills for listening to and communicating with the places within you that need to be seen, heard, and felt.

Somatic Experiencing is a body-centered approach. Rather than focusing only on thoughts or emotions associated with a traumatic event, we invite the awareness of the bodily sensations that seek to repair and complete the natural cycle our bodies possess to release it.

Somatic Parts is a framework that supports clients in learning and identifying their “inner worlds” and sub-personalities, like the inner child. Within each sub-personality, we hold emotions, perceptions, and belief systems that affect our behavior and emotional wellness. This is a beautiful tool for recognizing and reconciling “their” needs to bring more harmony and well-being to one’s life.

NeuroAffective Touch is a model that uses mindful touch to heal developmental trauma by reconnecting the body, emotions, and mind. When facing abuse, neglect, or abandonment, children protect themselves by bracing and numbing. These responses decrease connection and disrupt development. This work restores connection and encourages growth.

Guided Meditation Journeys are entryways to deep states of consciousness that relax mind and body, allowing you to make connections and changes.

"Traumatic symptoms are not caused by the event itself.  They arise when the residual energy from the experience is not discharged from the body. This energy remains trapped in the nervous system where it can wreak havoc on our bodies and minds". - Dr. Peter A. Levine
